Summary
This study tested a new, absorbent tampon designed to collect waste from an ileostomy. Researchers wanted to see if people could insert it themselves and how comfortable it was to use, as an alternative to wearing an external bag. Ten participants with ileostomies tried different tampon designs and reported on their experience. The goal is to find a more discreet option that might improve daily life.
