Simple blood test may predict sepsis death risk

Summary
This study is testing whether a blood test that measures a substance called IL-6 can help doctors predict which patients with sepsis (a severe infection) are at higher risk of dying within 28 days. About 700 adults in the ICU will take part. The goal is to find a clear cutoff level that signals danger, so doctors can act faster.
