Summary
This study tested a smartphone app called iKinnect2.0 designed to help suicidal teens aged 15-21 who are involved with the juvenile justice system, along with their parents or caregivers. 56 teen-parent pairs used either the iKinnect2.0 app or a control app for 16 weeks. Researchers measured changes in suicidal thoughts, self-harm, coping skills, and parenting behaviors to see if the app could reduce suicide risk.
