Summary

This study tested a smartphone app called iKinnect2.0 to help teens aged 15-21 who are involved in the juvenile justice system and at risk for suicide. The app gives teens tools to cope with distress and helps parents use suicide-prevention strategies. Researchers compared it to a control app in 56 parent-teen pairs over 16 weeks, measuring changes in suicidal thoughts, self-harm, and coping skills.
