Heated chemo during surgery: new hope for advanced pancreatic cancer?
NCT ID NCT07493421
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether a major surgery that removes the pancreatic tumor and all visible cancer in the abdomen, followed by pumping heated chemotherapy drugs directly into the belly, is safe for people with pancreatic cancer that has spread to the lining of the abdomen. Twenty adults whose cancer is stable after at least 6 months of standard chemotherapy will receive this intensive procedure. The main goals are to see if the risk of dying within 90 days is low and to measure side effects and quality of life one year later.
