Summary
This study tested whether adding a new medication called sparsentan could help adults with IgA nephropathy (IgAN), a kidney disease, when they were already taking standard treatments. Researchers followed 48 participants for 28 weeks to see if the combination was safe and could reduce protein in their urine, which indicates kidney damage. The goal was to see if this approach could help slow disease progression in people at risk of kidney failure.
