First seen Jan 30, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study tested an oral drug called ifetroban in 46 boys (ages 7 and up) with Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD). DMD is a genetic disease that weakens muscles, including the heart, and often leads to early death. The goal was to see if ifetroban is safe and can help control heart damage. Participants took the drug or a placebo for several weeks, and researchers monitored side effects and drug levels in the blood.
