Summary
This study tested an oral drug called ifetroban in 46 males aged 7 and older with Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) who also had heart problems. The goal was to see if the drug is safe and helps control the heart disease that often leads to early death in DMD. Participants received either ifetroban or a placebo, and some continued on the drug in an open-label extension. The study focused on safety and how the drug moves through the body.
