New pill could help eye cancer patients keep their eye

Summary

This study tests a drug called darovasertib (IDE196) in people with a type of eye cancer called uveal melanoma. The goal is to see if the drug can shrink tumors enough to avoid removing the eye or reduce the need for high-dose radiation. About 160 participants will take the pill before standard treatment, and researchers will monitor side effects and how well the tumors respond.
