Doctors seek clues in the machine to free patients from ventilators
NCT ID NCT07268989
Summary
This study aims to find better ways to predict when patients in the intensive care unit (ICU) are ready to breathe on their own after being on a ventilator. Researchers will observe 60 adult ICU patients who are about to be taken off the breathing machine. They will measure specific numbers from the ventilator and see if those numbers can accurately tell if a patient will succeed or fail when the breathing tube is removed.
