Breathing lessons for ICU patients: can training ease ventilator struggle?

NCT ID NCT07291622

Summary

This study tests whether a special training program helps ICU patients use their non-invasive breathing machines more effectively. Researchers will teach 92 adult patients how to sync their breathing with the ventilator and manage equipment. They'll check if this training helps patients use the machine longer, reduces anxiety and breathing problems, and improves comfort compared to standard ICU education.
