Can adding muscle stimulation boost ICU recovery?
NCT ID NCT07179718
Summary
This study is testing whether adding electrical muscle stimulation to standard bike exercises helps intensive care patients recover faster. Researchers are comparing two groups of 24 stable ICU patients: one doing bike exercises alone, and another doing bike exercises plus muscle stimulation for five days. The goal is to see which approach better improves patients' mobility, strength, and overall function.
