Summary
This study aims to understand why some patients return to intensive care within 48 hours of being discharged. Researchers will follow 1,000 ICU patients to identify what factors lead to these early readmissions. The study will also examine why some patients who are medically ready to leave the ICU remain there, creating bottlenecks in hospital systems.
