Scientists search for immune clues in ICU patients

NCT ID NCT07345169

Summary

This study aims to understand how a patient's immune system responds during a critical illness requiring intensive care. Researchers will collect small blood samples from 540 ICU patients to measure immune cells and inflammation markers. The goal is to find patterns that might help predict a patient's chances of survival and risk of hospital-acquired infections over the following year.
