Hospitals battle two invisible enemies at once
NCT ID NCT05055479
Summary
This study looked back at how a hospital managed an outbreak of a dangerous, drug-resistant bacteria in its Intensive Care Unit (ICU) during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic. Researchers reviewed the cases of 14 patients to understand what control measures worked to stop the bacteria from spreading. The goal is to learn lessons that can help other hospitals handle similar outbreaks in the future.
