Can a tailored diet speed up ICU recovery? new study investigates
NCT ID NCT07343440
Summary
This study aims to find out if using a special device to measure a patient's exact calorie needs leads to better recovery for critically ill adults on breathing machines in the ICU. It compares this personalized nutrition plan to the standard formula-based feeding. The main goal is to see if this approach improves patients' quality of life three months after leaving the ICU.
