Doctors test which breathing tube tools work best behind face shields
NCT ID NCT07255235
Summary
This study aims to compare how easy it is for doctors to place breathing tubes in ICU patients using newer video scopes versus a traditional scope, while wearing protective face shields. It will involve 84 adult patients needing planned intubation. The main goal is to see which tool helps doctors succeed on the first try when their view is partially blocked by the shield.
