ICU fluid puzzle: which monitoring method gets the dose right?

NCT ID NCT07303855

Summary

This study aims to find the better method for giving intravenous (IV) fluids to patients in the ICU after major abdominal surgery. Researchers will compare two monitoring approaches—one using heart performance and one using central vein pressure—to see which leads to more precise fluid amounts. The goal is to improve recovery by finding the optimal fluid management strategy during the critical first hours after surgery.
