Daytime vs. All-Day feeding: which helps ICU patients heal better?

NCT ID NCT07173504

Summary

This study is testing whether giving tube feedings only during the daytime hours is better than giving them around the clock for patients in the intensive care unit (ICU). Researchers want to see which feeding schedule leads to more stable blood sugar, better digestion, and improved sleep patterns. About 124 critically ill adults who need a breathing machine and tube feeding will be randomly assigned to receive one of the two feeding patterns for up to five days.
