New eye care kits and protocols tested to protect vulnerable ICU patients
NCT ID NCT07070843
Summary
This study aims to find the best way to care for the eyes of unconscious patients who are on breathing machines in the intensive care unit (ICU). Researchers will compare standard care against using a special eye care kit, following a detailed care protocol, or using both together. The goal is to see which method best prevents eye infections, swelling, and dryness in these vulnerable patients.
