Summary
This study aimed to understand how often family members and intensive care doctors disagree when making difficult decisions about stopping life support for critically ill patients. Researchers surveyed 429 cases across France where a patient could not speak for themselves. The goal was to measure the frequency and impact of these disagreements to improve future end-of-life care discussions.
