Doctors share inside look at tough ICU family talks
NCT ID NCT07243041
Summary
This study aims to understand how intensive care unit (ICU) doctors communicate with families about end-of-life decisions, particularly in Muslim healthcare settings. Researchers will ask ICU doctors to complete brief surveys after they have discussions with families about whether to attempt resuscitation for critically ill patients. The goal is to identify factors that help or hinder these difficult conversations, with findings used to improve doctor training and family support.
