Massive global study aims to find best physical therapy practices for ICU patients

NCT ID NCT06960642

Summary

This study aims to understand how different types and amounts of early physical therapy (like sitting up or walking) affect recovery for intensive care patients worldwide. Researchers will observe over 6,000 patients across 200+ hospitals to see which therapy approaches lead to better mobility, function, and quality of life after leaving the ICU. No new treatments are being tested; the study only collects information on current hospital practices and patient outcomes.
