Summary

This study tracks the out-of-pocket costs families face when a loved one is in the ICU in African and Asian countries. Researchers will follow about 354 patients to see how much families spend and whether these costs cause severe financial hardship. The goal is to identify who is most at risk and how families cope, helping to inform better financial support policies.
