Tracking ICU survivors: the hidden health risks after a breathing crisis
NCT ID NCT02111876
Summary
This study aimed to better understand what happens to people after they survive a severe breathing crisis in the intensive care unit (ICU). Researchers followed 60 adult survivors for a year to check their lung and heart health, look for sleep breathing problems, and see how often they needed to return to the hospital. The goal was to gather information to help improve future care for similar patients.
