Glow-in-the-Dark dye may help surgeons spot hidden tumor cells

NCT ID NCT07315841

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether a dye called indocyanine green (ICG) can help surgeons see tenosynovial giant cell tumors (TGCT) during surgery. About 40 people with TGCT will get an ICG injection before their operation. The dye makes tumor tissue glow under a special camera, which surgeons will use to find and remove all diseased tissue. Researchers will then check how well the dye matches lab results to see if it improves accuracy.
