Ice or no ice? new study aims to settle the debate on muscle recovery

NCT ID NCT07211412

Summary

This study aims to find out if using ice packs after hard exercise helps muscles recover better. Researchers will compare three groups: one that doesn't exercise, one that exercises and uses a room-temperature pack, and one that exercises and uses a cold pack. They will measure muscle strength, pain, and blood markers in 60 healthy volunteers over several days to see if ice reduces inflammation and helps people regain function faster.
