Summary

This small study tested whether applying ice packs after wisdom tooth surgery helps with recovery. Twenty patients had both lower wisdom teeth removed in one surgery, with ice packs used on only one side of their face. The side treated with ice had less pain, shorter pain duration, and required fewer extra painkillers.
