First seen Feb 17, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study tests whether applying an ice pack or a warm gel pad before removing a surgical drain can lower anxiety, improve comfort, and boost satisfaction in patients who had open urological surgery. About 120 adults will be randomly assigned to ice, warm gel, or standard care. The goal is to find a simple, drug-free way to make this common procedure less stressful.
