Could a simple ice pack make prostate biopsies less painful?
NCT ID NCT07462390
Summary
This study is testing whether applying ice inside the rectum for five minutes before a prostate biopsy can reduce patients' pain and anxiety during the procedure. Researchers will compare 84 men receiving this ice application to those receiving standard care alone. They will measure pain, anxiety, stress hormone levels, and complications to see if this simple, low-cost method helps.
