First seen Mar 20, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tested a nurse-led program for people getting an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD). The program used a special nursing guide to help patients feel more confident, accept their device, and be more satisfied with their care. 60 adults took part before and after getting their ICD. The goal was to see if this extra support improves how patients cope and feel about their device.
