First seen Mar 05, 2026 · Last updated Jun 10, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study looked at whether two common pain relievers, ibuprofen and ketoprofen, enter breastmilk in significant amounts. Researchers measured drug levels in milk from 35 breastfeeding women who had been taking one of these medicines for more than 24 hours. The goal was to help mothers and doctors make safer choices about pain relief while breastfeeding.
