Common painkiller tested to ease gum treatment side effects

NCT ID NCT07459049

Summary

This study is checking if taking ibuprofen (a common anti-inflammatory painkiller) can reduce inflammation and pain after a deep dental cleaning for gum disease. Researchers will measure inflammation markers in the blood and track pain levels in 30 adults with periodontitis. One group will take ibuprofen around their cleaning appointment, while another group won't, to see if it makes a difference.
