Scientists test if your genes explain your IBS symptoms after eating

NCT ID NCT07309601

Summary

This study aims to understand how a person's ability to digest sugar and starch affects their Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). Researchers will give 70 IBS patients a sugary meal and track their blood sugar and gut symptoms. They want to see if people with lower levels of a specific digestive enzyme have a different response than those with normal levels.
