Summary

This study tested whether an investigational drug called CIN-103 could safely reduce the symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Diarrhea (IBS-D) in adults. Researchers compared two different doses of CIN-103 against a placebo (an inactive substance) over 12 weeks in 421 participants. The main goals were to see if the drug improved abdominal pain and stool consistency more than the placebo.
