New drug combo takes on High-Risk leukemia

Summary
This study tests a combination of two drugs, ibrutinib and daratumumab, in people with a hard-to-treat form of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) that has come back or not responded to prior treatment. The focus is on patients with a specific genetic problem (p53 dysfunction) that makes the disease more aggressive. The goal is to see if the combination works better than ibrutinib alone at controlling the cancer. About 29 adults will take both drugs continuously until the disease gets worse or side effects become too severe.
