New hope for advanced cancer patients as First-in-Human drug trial begins

Summary
This is the first time a new drug called IBI343 is being tested in people. The main goals are to find a safe dose and see what side effects it causes. The study will enroll about 470 adults with advanced solid tumors that have spread or cannot be removed by surgery and have not responded to standard treatments. Researchers will also check if the drug helps shrink tumors, especially in cancers that have a specific marker called CLDN18.2.
