Landmark study aims to unlock safety secrets of IBD drugs for expecting mothers
NCT ID NCT06337565
Summary
This study is collecting information on the health of pregnant women with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) who are taking newer medications, and their babies. Researchers will follow 1,000 participants to see if these drugs are linked to any serious health problems for the mother or child, including infections, birth defects, or developmental issues. Because pregnant women are usually excluded from drug trials, this registry aims to fill a critical knowledge gap by observing real-world outcomes over several years.
