Spit test for IBD kids? study checks if saliva can replace blood draws
NCT ID NCT07470502
Summary
This study aims to see if measuring a drug (infliximab) in saliva gives similar results to measuring it in blood for children with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Researchers will collect saliva and leftover blood samples from 15 children during their first few routine treatment visits. The goal is purely to gather information; the results will not change anyone's treatment.
