New blood clot test device under evaluation

Summary

This study compares a new cartridge for the i-STAT 1 analyzer to an existing device for measuring activated clotting time (ACT) in adults receiving heparin to prevent blood clots. About 500 participants will provide blood samples before and during their procedure. The goal is to see if the new cartridge gives accurate and consistent results.
