New blood clot test could speed up care for heart patients

Summary
This study evaluates a new cartridge (i-STAT ACTpro) that measures how long it takes for blood to clot in adults who are given heparin to prevent clots during medical procedures. Researchers will compare the results from this new test with those from a standard device to see if it works just as well. About 500 adults will take part, and the goal is to make clotting time checks faster and easier.
