Summary
This study tested a computer system called i-ROP DL that automatically checks eye images from premature babies for a serious condition called retinopathy of prematurity (ROP), which can cause blindness. Researchers used over 1,200 babies' images to see how well the system detects the disease compared to expert doctors. The goal is to provide a fast, reliable screening tool that can be used in hospital nurseries.
