First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study reviewed medical records of 293 women who had surgery to remove uterine fibroids (myomectomy) at a university hospital. The goal was to find out how often the surgery unexpectedly turned into a hysterectomy (removal of the uterus) and what complications happened within 30 days after surgery. The results help doctors better understand the risks and plan safer surgeries.
