New healing gel tested in Boys' urethra surgery
NCT ID NCT07319780
Summary
This study compares two surgical techniques for repairing hypospadias, a common birth defect where the urine opening is on the underside of the penis. It tests whether adding a patient's own healing gel (made from their blood) during surgery leads to fewer complications and better results than the standard graft method. The trial involves 100 boys aged 6 months to 7 years with a specific type of hypospadias.
