Landmark study measures Boys' penis size to improve surgery

NCT ID NCT03593720

Summary

This study measured the size of the penis and glans (head) in boys with hypospadias, a birth defect where the urethra opening is in the wrong place, and compared them to boys without the condition. Researchers took detailed measurements from 410 boys during their urological surgeries to create growth charts. The goal is to better understand normal development for hypospadias to help guide future surgical planning and care.
