Massive hospital study probes dangers of low sodium

NCT ID NCT07430787

Summary

This study aims to understand how common low sodium levels are in hospitalized patients and how the speed of correcting it affects recovery. Researchers will review the records of 10,000 patients to see if treatment follows guidelines and to measure the risk of a rare but serious brain injury. The goal is to gather knowledge to improve future care, not to test a new treatment.
