Hidden danger: study probes silent low blood sugar in vulnerable kids

NCT ID NCT04322435

Summary

This study aimed to find out how often children with a rare hormone condition called congenital adrenal insufficiency experience low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). Researchers followed 9 young children for a year, using special monitors to track their blood sugar levels continuously and with regular finger-prick tests. The goal was to better understand this hidden risk, as low blood sugar can be serious but often has no obvious symptoms.
