Fewer radiation blasts may tame bulky cervical cancer

NCT ID NCT06331468

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Apr 23, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study tests a new approach for women with advanced or large cervical cancers: giving fewer but stronger doses of radiation along with chemotherapy. The goal is to see if this shorter treatment works as well or better than standard care, with fewer hospital visits. About 20 participants will receive 8 radiation sessions (instead of 25) plus two rounds of cisplatin chemo, followed by internal radiation. Researchers will measure tumor response on MRI at 1 and 3 months, and track survival for 2 years.
