First seen Apr 10, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looked at whether using hypnosis in virtual reality could help reduce anxiety in men with metastatic prostate cancer during their chemotherapy treatments. 53 men receiving a standard chemotherapy drug (docetaxel) were randomly assigned to either get the VR hypnosis or standard care. The goal was to see if the VR hypnosis lowered anxiety and nausea before and after each infusion.
