New hope for stubborn high blood pressure in the elderly

NCT ID NCT06041529

Summary

This study is testing which of two three-drug combinations works better to lower blood pressure in seniors aged 65+ whose high blood pressure isn't controlled by their current two-drug treatment. About 198 participants will try either a combination containing chlorthalidone or one containing hydrochlorothiazide, both added to their existing two drugs. The main goal is to see which combination lowers nighttime blood pressure more effectively and safely over 8 weeks.
