First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 33 times

Summary

This study looked at whether breathing pure oxygen in a special chamber (hyperbaric oxygen therapy) can help heal jaw damage caused by cancer radiation treatment. The trial planned to include 20 adults whose jawbone had been exposed or showed damage for at least 3 months after radiation. However, the study was stopped early, so results are limited.
